How to Smell a Rat Refunder

Over the years I’ve gotten many emails from ‘Rat Refunders’ trying to get me to give them a refund for purchases they didn’t really make.

Here’s some common things I’ve noticed about their refund requests.

When I got your email I thought you wlll talk about people that sign up, pay the membership then download every product from the site and then ask for a refund. Or keep the membership for 2-3 months and then ask for a refund or are asking for chargeback with the credit card company.

The scams you are showing to us avoid common sense. I do not even look at any refund request if do not contain any transaction details including username and payment confirmation number.

Yeah, I’ve had ‘Serial Refunders’ too- here’s a post related to that, in this case a refunder who first asked for help:

I’m with James, had folks buy one of Karl’s, my boss, books, logon to the support site, download the e-version of the book then call and say the material was of no use to them and they wanted a refund. So we instituted a policy where we track the downloads of certain files and if you download the e-book we don’t give you a refund. It’s a $300.00 book full of Network migration procedures. We couldn’t believe it.
