Dear future membership site owner,
If you have started looking for a way to get your membership site going, only to become frustrated by the high expense of an all inclusive system... If you don't have the
skills needed or don't want to spend your time installing membership software and integrating it with a content management system, read on...
My name is David Moskowitz, and about 3 years ago I started Membership Academy to help other membership site owners get their sites up and profiting quickly. I
was in the right place at the right time, and I was quickly recognized as the goto guy for some of the biggest names in Internet Marketing.
People like Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss have used and recomment me to their students.
Look what Ryan Deiss has to say about Membership Academy...
is a must-have resource for any membership publisher.
"David Moskowitz is without a doubt my #1 go-to guy for all things related to membership site technology.
There aren't many people I keep on speed dial...
David is one of those people.."
Exceeded my expectations.
The content on this website is awesome and is easy to understand and has been a great asset when I needed information on how to implement changes on my
I've also used David's "Done for you Services". David gets things implemented very quick. He is very responsive and has exceeded my expectations and his customer service is second to none. Thank you David!
Your site and your services have streamlined the process on getting a fully
functioning membership site."
What is a fixed term membership site?
A fixed term membership site is also known as a "micro-continuity" membership site. What this means is you break your course into several modules, spread
out over several months. Then you drip it out and receive monthly payments fot the term of the site. Most owners like a 6 month model, after which time
the membership ends. Members like this because they know exactly how long the course will take and what the total cost will be. But they don't need
to paty for the whole thing up front, it becomes a monthly payment, so they feel there's less risk if they don't like the program.
What's a content management system?
A content management system, or CMS, is a software program which allows you to add your valuable content (videos, audio, articles, etc.) to a web site without the need to program in ,
everything is done in a very comfortable graphical interface. It provides a consistent theme and navigation throughout the site.
Warning! You do not want to be a guinea pig for some marketer's new membership script.
You've probably seen the ads or forum posts from all those gurus and marketers promoting their fantastic new membership scripts.
Well, let me tell you something. When it comes to your business, do you really want to risk your reputation and income on some new program when a tried and tested system can work for you?
Why use Wordpress?
Wordpress is a robust open source (free) CMS system. It powers an estimated 2.2 million blogs including The New York Times and over 2,690 plugins. Plugins are little programs you add on to Wordpress to
increase its functionality. For example, if you wanted to add a sitemap generator or add Youtube videos, you can effortlessly do so with a quick uplaod and few clicks of the mouse.
Why use Wishlist Member?
To be honest, when wishlist was first released I was skeptical of its abilities- in fact I found the first release to be overly simplistic and bug prone. However, over the past 2 years it's
been developed into a solid system. The developers have added the features needed by site owners like drip fed content, and more payment systems. So its now
mature enough that I recommend and use it for some of my own sites. It's especially suited for these fixed term sites as it allows a clean seemless integration
with wordpress, and the licence terms allow a very economical way to create fixed term sites.
What the CMS and Membership system can and can't do
There are a few limitations to using Wishlist with Wordpress. If you want an affiliate program (and you should have one) you will need to use
the built in service of a payment prosessor like Clickbank. Content protection doesn't yet prevent , but you can use Amazon S3 and a plugin for wordpress that will protect this.
You can have other people writing content for you, without having to learn . You can write several articles at once and set them to be published on set dates. By
using incremental content, you preload your site with 6 months of content- then go out and market it.
Here's what I am going to do for you
I am going to save you massive amounts of time and frustration by going into your site, installing Wordpress, integrating it with Wishlist Member,
and setting up 2 levels of access- free membership, and premium memberships (you can change the names of the levels to match your niche). For the premium level
I will set up 6 drip modules, spaced out so that 1 is released every month.
This normally takes several hours, and for someone who has never done it before, could take several days.
But because I have done it so many times, I understand exactly what needs to be done.
I can offer this service at a fee much lower than the actual fee per hour I would normally
charge for an installation.
Here's a breakdown of what you get:
- Wordpress Manual Installation
Cpanel has an auto install, but it uses a standard database table which is easier to hack- so I do a manual install
- Wordpress Video Display Plugin
If you have a prefered player let me know
- Wordpress Studio Press Theme
- Wordpress Wishlist Member Integration
- Wishlist Member Single Site License
If you already own a license, or multisite license, you can use that and I will send you a refund of $50!
- Set up a Free and Premium Level
- 6 Modules for Incremental Content on the Premium Level
- Installation of S3Flowshield, to securely serve Amazon S3 content
You will need to purchase a license seperately to use it and set up
your own amazon bucket etc
- Installation of some additional security, seo and plugins needed for
the studio press themes
- Payment integration pages set for Clickbank
Total estimated installation and integration time: 6 to 8 hours
Cost: $600 - $800 (my standard billing rate)
Keep in mind that this is my time estimate- imagine how much longer it could take you...
